Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 10, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using PrimeCivil. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

This software is a calculation support tool only. Results must be verified by a licensed structural engineer before use in any construction project.

1. Description of Service

PrimeCivil is a structural engineering calculation support tool for cold-formed steel purlin design, referencing AISI S100-16 (Direct Strength Method) and ASCE 7-05 ASD load combinations. The Service is intended to assist qualified, licensed structural engineers in their design workflow.

2. Disclaimer of Liability

This software is a calculation support tool only. The developers are not involved in and do not accept responsibility for any damages — direct or indirect — that may arise from the use of this program. All design decisions and their consequences remain the sole responsibility of the engineer using the Service.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Verification of Results

All outputs from this software constitute preliminary reference information only. The engineer using this software is directly and solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all assumptions, input parameters (Inputs), and final results (Outputs) in accordance with sound engineering principles, the applicable Code of Practice, and all relevant building regulations.

3.2 Qualified Use

This software must only be used by engineers holding a valid professional engineering license and possessing specialized expertise in the relevant structural discipline. Any application of calculated results to actual construction must be reviewed (Review) and certified by a licensed engineer.

3.3 Independent Engineering Judgment

Calculated results do not replace professional engineering judgment. The engineer must independently evaluate all design decisions and bears full professional and legal responsibility for any design produced using this Service.

4. Standards and Software Updates

The developer may update the software periodically to reflect revisions to design standards. However, users are solely responsible for ensuring that all design parameters and outputs comply with the latest applicable design standards and codes in force at the time of use.

5. Warranty Disclaimer (As-Is)

This software is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the software will be free from errors, bugs, or defects in all cases or under all conditions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrimeCivil and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including without limitation damages for loss of data, loss of profit, personal injury, or property damage — arising from the use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, methodologies, algorithms, interfaces, and designs within the Service are the intellectual property of PrimeCivil. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or reverse engineering of any part of the Service is strictly prohibited.

8. Account Terms

You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with or disrupt the Service, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, or to use the Service in any manner that could damage or overburden our infrastructure.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts.
